06/10/2010 - The Institut de Soudure Strengthens its Presence in Gonfreville-l'OrcherThe Institut de Soudure group and its commercial subsidiary Institut de
Soudure Industrie strengthen their position in Seine-Maritime, by bringing
together their two branches, previously located in Gonfreville-l'Orcher and
Montivilliers, in Gonfreville l'Orcher only. The first agency is currently
dedicated to the provision of services to the industry and the second agency to
vocational training.
The building is about 1900 square meters, is located on a 18,000 square meters plot of land and is almost completed: delivery is scheduled for November 30, 2010. It is built according to architectural plans already implemented for the center of Douai - Cuincy (Nord), launched in March 2010. The renovated facilities and new locations of the Institut de Soudure group will offer the same outlines and features. The Institut de Soudure’s 4 fields of expertise will be centered in Gonfreville-l'Orcher, on the rue de Bévilliers, as from mid-January 2011. The company’s activities include: - Vocational training in welding and nondestructive controls. The center will have three classrooms and twenty-four welding booths for practical training; - Inspection, testing and expertise of welded industrial equipment. About a hundred employees will work on this site. The Institut de Soudure plans to reach 125 employee within two years. This new center is equipped with a firing chamber to perform X-rays of industrial parts, using X-ray or gamma rays safely in only one step and with no need for night interventions. This is entirely consistent with the policy aiming at strengthening security around the use of ionizing radiation, advocated by the Autorité de sûreté nucléaire (ASN, the French Nuclear Safety Authority) for both radiologists and industrial workers in the vicinity and the public. Moreover, thanks to its large dimensions, commercial vehicles can be driven in and parts can be inspected without needing to unload them. 23/09/2010 - Roundtable called "Dare to Grow" on October 7 in RouenThe Direccte (Regional Management for Business,
